Volunteers needed this Tuesday to Help Nominate Al Gore for President!

September 23, 2007

Dear Draft Gore supporters,

The drive to get Al Gore on the ballot in the upcoming presidential primary in Massachusetts is now underway!

This coming Tuesday (Sept 25), we plan to take advantage of the occurrence of preliminary municipal elections in Somerville and parts of Boston, where large numbers of Democratic and other voters eligible to sign Al Gore’s nominating petitions will be coming to the polls, to quickly “jump start” our ballot drive.

We need about 100 volunteers to fully staff the most promising polling locations in these two cites (more are welcome, and will be put to good use!). If you can sign up for a 3-4 hour shift on Tuesday, that would help us tremendously. (Two shifts would be even better!) Even if you only have only an hour or two to volunteer, we can really use you help, so please get in touch with us.

If you can, try to stop by the Draft Gore Massachusetts Open House this afternoon from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at The Democracy Center, 45 Mt Auburn St (near Harvard Square). There will be brief training sessions periodically during the day on all the nuts and bolts details of successfully gathering nominating petition signatures, so come whenever you are able. If you can not make it today, do not worry — just give us a call at 617-547-6465, or email, and we will fill you in on everything you need to know for Tuesday’s big push to help make Massachusetts the first statee in the nation to put Al Gore on the ballot in 2008!

Hoping to see or hear from you soon,

Faithfully,

Lesley & Linda
